Staff Bios
Kristin Houlé, Executive Director
Kristin Houlé was a 2007 Soros Justice Fellow with the Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty (TCADP). Her 18-month fellowship involved conducting public education around the intersection of the death penalty and severe mental illness in Texas. Prior to her arrival in Texas, Kristin served for five years as the Program Associate for Amnesty International USA’s Program to Abolish the Death Penalty in Washington DC. Her responsibilities included coordinating AIUSA’s annual National Weekend of Faith in Action on the Death Penalty. Kristin has been involved with the human rights and anti-death penalty movements since 1995. She held several volunteer leadership roles with Amnesty International, including Student Area Coordinator and State Death Penalty Abolition Coordinator for Kentucky. She also was active as a board member and local chapter leader for the Kentucky Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty, and later became involved with the Illinois Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty in Chicago. Kristin graduated from the University of Kentucky and resides in Austin, Texas. khoule@tcadp.org
Vicki McCuistion, Program Coordinator
Vicki McCuistion has been the Program Coordinator for TCADP since 2005. She is also the Program Director for the Barnabas Connection of the Wimberley United Methodist Church, an outreach ministry helping people in need in Hays County. Vicki serves as Secretary of the Board for Community Shares of Texas. She is a past Program Assistant and Field Manager for Texas Citizen Action and has an extensive background in grassroots organizing, communications and fundraising. She serves in multiple capacities within the United Methodist Church with particular interest in social justice issues.Vicki graduated from Southwestern University with a BA Degree in International Studies with an emphasis in Asia and Political Science.
